New Air Connection from Decatur to Chicago
Air Choice One, Decatur Airport’s newest airline, proudly announces that it has secured a gate and ground handling at Chicago O’Hare Airport, making direct flights from Decatur to Chicago now possible.

Air Choice One began service from Decatur in December with daily flights to St. Louis. Passenger satisfaction has been very positive; however, establishing a direct route to Chicago O’Hare was essential to the airline’s continued presence in Decatur.

According to Air Choice One CEO Shane Storz, “The airline has worked very hard to secure operations out of Chicago. We are pleased that we can offer Decatur air travelers direct flights to O’Hare International Airport.”

Park Board President Cindy Deadrick added, “The Decatur Park District Board of Commissioners and staff fully understand the significant implications of Decatur – Chicago air service. Although the process has taken some time to accomplish, we have been diligent in our efforts to bring an airline that could provide both Chicago and St. Louis air service to our community. We thank Air Choice One and the many others who supported restoration of flights to Chicago. We now ask the Decatur-area community to support this service and ensure its success.”

Air Choice One flights to Chicago began on Thursday, January 14, with 3 round trips per day using the popular Cessna Caravan aircraft. Departures from Decatur to Chicago are scheduled at 6 a.m., 11:50 a.m., and 5:40 p.m. with arrivals at Decatur Airport at 9:10 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 8:55 p.m.
