- What airlines serve Decatur? American Connection presently serves
Decatur with 3 daily round trip flights (subject to change) to St.
Louis and
connecting to your destination.
- How do I make a flight reservation? Simply call 1-800-433-7300 or visit www.aa.com. Local airline ticket
agents are busy serving customers at
the ticket counters. For that reason, the airlines request that all telephone
calls be referred to their toll-free numbers.
- What time should I check-in
for my flight? The airline generally asks that you check in 90 minutes
prior to flight time, however at Decatur
Airport at least one hour before your flight is sufficient.
- Do I pay
for parking? Parking at the Decatur Airport is FREE! Note: 2 hour parking
areas and handicap parking spaces are located conveniently
close to the Terminal Building.
- Can I purchase a ticket at the airline
counter? Yes! Airline personnel are generally available for ticketing
between 7am – 1pm & 3pm
- 5pm, Mon – Fri, except during flight times (subject to change).
- How many bags am I allowed? Normally two bags to check, one carry-on
and one personal item (i.e. purse, briefcase, computer). Size and weight
limitations apply – see airline for additional details.
- Are there
flights to Chicago from Decatur? Chicago, as well as connecting destinations,
can be reached via St. Louis. Future direct Chicago service
is hoped for when the airline industry begins to once again expand.
- During inclement weather, is the airport open? Yes, the airport
is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. During changing weather
conditions,
our maintenance staff is busy making sure the airport remains open
and in a safe condition. In the unlikely event the airport would need
to
close,
local media would be contacted to assist in making the public announcement.
